In today’s episode, I share 7 ways that you can increase your brand visibility online. Now, what does increasing your brand visibility actually mean? Well, it means being very intentional with your content marketing, having a repurposing strategy in place, and most of all being consistent with it. It’s putting yourself in front of your ideal audience + potential clients so that they see your content and begin to build that know, like, & trust factor with you.
When it comes to the following brand visibility tactics, please keep in mind that you do NOT need to be doing all of them. In fact, I actually recommend picking 1 to 2 a quarter so that you don’t get overwhelmed or burn yourself out.
When it comes to podcasting, you do not need to have your own podcast. You can actually be on other people’s podcasts as a guest and bring their audience value. By doing so, you will be able to cross-pollinate your audiences and grow them with ideal customers. Now, when it comes to finding and pitching podcasts that you want to be on, you do want to be intentional about it. You want to make sure that whatever podcast you are on, you are providing them value and vice versa. For instance, if you are pitching to podcasts that don’t target an audience that you would also want coming to your pages, then it’s not going to be very beneficial for you. You want podcasting to be an even exchange, benefits both parties, and increases both of your brand visibilities.
Pinterest’s main goal is to actually spark inspiration and allow its users to discover new content and new brands. So by using Pinterest as a marketing tool and visibility tactic for yourself, you can actually get in front of your ideal audience and promote your services, ideas, or products. A great thing about pins is that you can actually link them and drive traffic back to your website, blog, podcast, Youtube channel, Instagram, or other social media channels that you have. So instead of creating content from scratch all the time, you can actually repurpose content from your other channels onto Pinterest thus increasing your brand visibility.
When it comes to creating reels or TikToks and expanding your brand visibility, you want to be intentional about it. You want to provide your ideal audience value, quick tips, and things they can easily implement or consume. Now I know a lot of times when I say create reels or TikToks to increase your brand visibility, people automatically think they need to create viral videos. The truth is, sometimes these videos actually bring the wrong people to your page, especially if they aren’t specifically speaking to your ideal audience. So just keep in mind that your goal shouldn’t be to go viral, but more so to create videos of value, videos that are relevant to your ideal audience, and ones that will draw in ideal clients.
Blogging is a great way to repurpose content, leverage SEO, and attract + drive people to your website. So, if you have a Youtube channel or podcast you could actually repurpose it into a blog, create a pin out of it, and you can even break it up into smaller content pieces for Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc. And by doing so, you will increase your visibility across multiple different platforms.
When it comes to engagement, this does not necessarily have to be just on Instagram, although it can. What I mean by engagement is to start participating in conversations online so that you increase your own visibility. Now if Instagram is your main platform, go ahead and start finding + engaging with ideal followers through hashtags, Instagram’s suggested accounts, typing into search different keywords, and start those conversations. Leave meaningful comments on their posts, respond to their IG stories, & have CTAs on your post to further drive that engagement.
When you create sharable content (aka content that your audience would want to reshare to their account) you will increase your visibility by spreading your brand awareness. This type of content could be educational content, entertaining content, polarizing content, etc. Basically, the idea here is that you want someone to find your piece of content, reshare it to their account, and then have their followers or their audience be interested and follow you.
What this means is that you have some kind of program in place that actually encourages your current customers to help spread the word about your own business and in return, they get some kind of reward which could be a gift card, a discount off your services, or some kind of monetary value. For instance, you could put in place that any social media manager client that refers you and has their friend(s) sign up for your services, could actually get 10% off their next month of social media management. So, by incorporating a referral program into your business you will encourage your clients to start referring you to others and ultimately help spread the word about your brand + business.
So girl, take these visibility tactics and start to incorporate them into your own marketing strategy. Remember, you do not need to use all 7 tactics but more so pick 1 to 2 each quarter so that you do not burn yourself out and you can slowly ramp your visibility efforts from there.
